Favel Parrett's career was launched with her acclaimed debut PAST THE SHALLOWS. It was shortlisted in the Miles Franklin Award and won the Dobbie Literary Award. THERE WAS STILL LOVE, Favel's third novel, was shortlisted for the Stella Prize and won Book of the Year - The Indie Book Awards 2020. She lives in Victoria and is passionate about surfing and dingoes.

Online Workshop via Zoom


Favel will be speaking about characters and themes within her novel 'Past the Shallows', a HSC prescribed text. The 45 minute

presentation will provide great insight for those studying or teaching the novel, plus the opportunity for a 15 minute Q&A discussion.


$5 per person

School bookings/tickets

School bookings can be made by emailing and quoting the number of students who will be participating. The school will then be invoiced for this amount of students. Once the invoice is paid, schools will be emailed the zoom link prior to the workshop. NB: Recorded session available. T&C's apply.
